Dear Friends:
We hope you are staying healthy and safe during these challenging times. Despite the turmoil of the past months, Soroptimist House of Hope is committed to fulfilling our mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for low-income women – many of whom have experienced homelessness, incarceration, and unemployment – to receive housing, treatment, and support to recover from substance use disorders and become life-long productive members of society. With the growing prevalence of addiction, especially with the social isolation, economic instability, and emotional distress caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for our services is greater than ever before.
Due to the critical and life-saving nature of our services, Soroptimist House of Hope continues to offer our services at our Treatment Center in Desert Hot Springs and Transitional Recovery Residence in Banning. Clients and staff practice social distancing whenever possible, strict hygiene and cleaning protocols are in place, new clients are tested prior to admittance, we have established a quarantine unit at the Transitional Recovery Residence, and we are facilitating immediate medical care for anyone displaying symptoms. Thanks to these measures, we remain safe and fully operational!
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of the community to sustain our operations. We are very grateful for your ongoing support, which is instrumental to our ability to serve our clients through their journey to recovery and self-sufficiency. We would be very grateful for your assistance during this unprecedented time of need. Please consider either a one-time or recurring donation that will help us bring the life-long gift of sobriety, good health, and success to our clients. Visit us at https://www.recoveryhouseofhope.org/give-now/ to learn more about how you can help.
Soroptimist House of Hope wishes you and your family a joyous holiday season.
With gratitude,
Rebecca Norton Dot Reed
